THE YELLOW HOUSE PROJECT


OUR MISSION:
1. The Yellow house project is being initiated out of an urgent need to bridge the gap between prospective house searchers and the house of their choice.
2. To regulate the cost of housing.
3. To ensure apartments are in humanly liveable state.
4. To sanitize the Real Estate Lettings System in Lagos.

OUR VISION

To achieve a Perfected Real Estate System with a standard whereby people can get their dream apartments with ease. Leaving no room for property swindlers and looters.


Over the years, it has been a norm to hear cases of innocent people being swindled in the name of trying to secure a good home in Lagos. The business of swindling innocent Lagosians has become so perfected that almost anyone can be a victim. A Friend was swindled recently of close to 2.3 Million Naira!
 Well, He inspected the Duplex off Eric Moore, and being exactly as captivating as He wanted it to be, He requested to see the Landlord just as you would have done. The Old man that posed as the Landlord looked well over 60years. He talked with so much confidence and was even shouting and hauling insults at the workers that were doing the minor renovations in the house for their slow pace. Everything seemed just right and well-staged, thus there was no reason to harbour any disbelief. The Lawyer was given the Landlord’s Account Number which he paid into. The “Old man” (Landlord) and the Agent may be forever nowhere to be found. Trying to trace them via the Landlord’s Account details has proven abortive.
Mrs Bolatito, another good friend of mine(formerly a desperate Client), who after seeing my Property Advert Placement on Google Trader decided to “try her luck”. She complained bitterly that she’d spent over N20,000 Naira procuring Registration forms from different “Agents” with no visible results.
She obviously lacked the basic orientation of what the market could and could NEVER offer her. How can any Agent orientate her when He lacks the orientation himself. She was looking for a Two Bedroom apartment in Bode Thomas with an impossible budget of N300, 000. She had spent over 7months with over 10 Agents on the “Ghost Search”. She didn’t need a Pro to tell her her budget could only get a decent miniflat as every standard of property has its price tag pending on the location. Any sane Property Agent should have told her that, really. She’s smiling happily in her decent Miniflat in Babs Animashaun(off Bode Thomas) today. All thanks to Babs.

The demand for flats in Surulere is higher than the supply thus, the absence of a uniquely concrete and perfected system would pave room for every possible form of delinquency in the sector just as is obtainable in our Lettings System.
